location: Malachite & 64th

ground floor

Upon entering the area one is greeted by an old ironwork fence, adorned with ivy so as to conceal its architecture. On the fence rests a sign indicating only friends and family are welcome in the garden and the underlying dungeons.
A large malachite rock sits on the edge of a vast lake. The green tint of the rock catches the moonlight as one walks past it, as does the Greek scrollwork inscription "Daphne". Beyond the rock a well manicured garden rests surrounded by topiaries. In the center of the garden a rose garden awaits the visitors. The bittersweet aroma enters the air and alleviates the stress building up within them.
A down-sloping pathway into the side of the rock leads to a narrow stone staircase. The door at the end of this staircase leads to a door of malachite, seemingly in the rock

Underground level 1

There one can find the living areas of the house. A large living room, with a cozy fireplace with ever burning fire in it, and a small bar on the side filled with some of the more expensive bottles of whiskey, wine and chianti.  A room she calls her "study room" with bookcases filling the walls, cosy sofas and desks to study. The dining area, now part of the living room. Next to it lies the kitchen area and the cellar. Everything but the cellar has windows overlooking the lake bed giving them a deem green light throughout the day.

Underground level 2

Deep underground where the night is constant and the silence is always present lay the bedrooms and bathrooms. Not just for Daphne herself, but for her visitors, that even scarce, they are welocme. Her own bedroom, with a bed hanging from the ceiling is down the corridor.  From there she can enter her walking closets. One that she keeps her clothes, and a second one where she keeps her hats and her shoes.  There is a large mirror on that closet. A mirror that if you push, you will find a staircase and the entrance to the floor below.

On the other side of the hallway, lay the servants chambers with their bedrooms and kitchen. No real decorations in those chambers. or anything fancy.

Underground level 3

Here are located the actual dungeons. The entrance and the combination of the lock is only known to Daphne herself.

The prison cells, seperated by steel doors, and torture chambers with instruments that Daphne collected through out the century.  One particular prison cell though, is always left empty. It serves another purpose than the others. It is the entrance to the floor below.

Underground level 4 -The vault

There is a stone on the wall of that cell on the 3rd floor that if you push it will lead you to a narrow dark staircase and the entrance to another chamber full of traps. At the end of the chamber, burried deep underground a steel door hides Daphne's secret room of treasures. Treasures she had brought from Europe, and treasures she has acquired in the States. She is the only one that knows the location of her Vault, as everyone that has helped in its construction spent their last days in it.
